Zurich wins the 34° “Conde de Godo” Trophy

The GP42 owned by Jan Santana with Jordi Calafat on board prevails in the Class RN1 in Barcelona. Good start for Zurich after its first success with the regular crew. 27 of May. - Zurich is the winner of the 34 Trophy Conde de Godo in Class RN1, after obtaining the victory in today fourth and last race, with winds between 13 and 15 knots. Another spectacular day of sailing of the new Zurich GP42 of Jan Santana on the Barcelonian race course, considering that her competitors has arrived on the finishing line with around eight minutes of delay…. more than sufficient to prevail in corrected time and win the prestigious Catalan Trophy. Santana and Calafat, with a very good start to windward of the fleet that it placed to them in a favorable situation signed the day since the beginning They managed to maintain and to defend the position without problems, rounding the marks with a great distance to the following boat. A constantly improving gain that have allowed Zurich to transform the elapsed time victoy into an overall one.

Looking at the results, there is no doubt that Jordi Calafat, as much as Nuno Barreto and Pepe Ribes found themselves very confortable on board.
